Over 25 Years of Refrigerated Transport in Hong Kong

About Lily Transport|Professional・Prompt・Reliable

Our History & Commitment

Lily Transport Company Limited was established in 2001 and has been committed to professional, prompt and reliable freight services ever since. Through years of accumulated experience and continuous improvement, we have earned the trust of a loyal customer base. From modest beginnings in local delivery, we now run a cold chain logistics operation handling more than 80,000 items every day, and that growth rests entirely on the long-term trust of our customers.

We operate a fleet of refrigerated and non-refrigerated tail lift trucks from 5.5 to 24 tonnes, serving Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories. Our vehicles handle everything from ambient goods down to minus 18 degrees Celsius frozen cargo, supported by compartment pre-cooling, temperature monitoring and satellite GPS positioning, so goods remain in the correct condition from warehouse to signature.

Our Service Philosophy

In refrigerated transport, punctuality and temperature are the two things that cannot be compromised. An hour's delay can cost a store a full day of sales, and a single temperature failure can write off an entire consignment. That is why we focus on process discipline and information transparency, turning the temperature and location of every trip into a documented fact rather than a verbal assurance.

Four Pillars of Our Business

Our founding background, fleet scale, vehicle management and brand development together form the service capability we offer today.

Founding & Service Philosophy

Lily Transport was established in 2001 and has been committed to professional, prompt and reliable freight services ever since. Through years of accumulated experience and continuous improvement, we have earned the trust of a loyal customer base.

"Professional" means drivers and handling staff who understand the detail of temperature-controlled operations. "Prompt" means added orders and urgent jobs can be absorbed within our own fleet. "Reliable" means every consignment carries handover records, temperature data and clearly traceable accountability.

Fleet Scale & Coverage

We operate refrigerated and non-refrigerated tail lift trucks in a range of tonnages from 5.5 to 24 tonnes, covering Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories.

A complete vehicle range means we can always match the right truck to the job: smaller vehicles for narrow urban streets and mall back lanes, 16 or 24-tonne trucks for palletised bulk, and hydraulic tail lift vehicles where manual handling must be minimised. That prevents both the oversized truck that cannot reach the site and the small truck making costly repeat trips. See Our Fleet.

Vehicle Inspection & GPS Monitoring

Our refrigerated vehicles are inspected regularly and fitted with satellite GPS tracking systems, increasing transparency across the entire freight process.

In Hong Kong all commercial vehicles and goods vehicles must be examined annually, and only those passing inspection receive a certificate of roadworthiness allowing licence renewal with the Transport Department. Beyond completing the statutory annual examination, we also run our own checks on refrigeration unit performance, compartment sealing and temperature displays, because regulation governs road safety while refrigeration condition remains the operator's own responsibility.

Renaming & Customer Confidence

In 2008 we were formally renamed Lily Transport Company Limited, reflecting the growing confidence and trust our customers place in our service.

The renaming was more than a new sign. By that point our business scale and customer base had expanded considerably, and a unified brand gave customers, drivers and partners consistent identification across documentation, vehicle livery and communication. It also marked our transition from owner-operator working practices to structured corporate management.

Development History

Four stages, from small-scale local delivery to a full temperature range cold chain operation.

2001|Company Founded

Started in local freight delivery, focusing on doing three things well — professional, prompt and reliable — and steadily building a loyal customer base and route knowledge across Hong Kong.

2008|Formally Renamed

Following business expansion, formally renamed Lily Transport Company Limited, unifying the brand identity and moving to structured corporate management, reflecting increased customer confidence in our service.

Fleet Expansion|Full Temperature Range

Progressively introduced refrigerated and non-refrigerated tail lift trucks from 5.5 to 24 tonnes alongside reefer container capability, building complete capacity across ambient, chilled and frozen bands.

Technology|100% GPS

Equipped the entire fleet with satellite GPS tracking alongside compartment temperature monitoring, turning "where is my cargo and what temperature is it" from a verbal report into a documented record.

Today we deliver over 80,000 items daily to customers across food processing, frozen meat wholesale, seafood supply, chain restaurants, supermarket retail and fresh e-commerce. See Partners for details.

Our Team & Management Systems

Cold chain performance ultimately comes down to people: whether dispatch plans accurately, and whether drivers hold the temperature.

Customer Service

Handles enquiries, quotations and day-to-day communication. Each customer has a consistent point of contact, so cargo characteristics and store rules need not be re-explained each time.

Dispatch

Handles vehicle assignment and route planning, balancing store receiving windows, temperature priority and traffic timing simultaneously. This is where efficiency is won or lost.

Drivers

Trained in compartment pre-cooling, loading order and minimising door-open time, and assigned consistently to the same customers so store knowledge accumulates.

Handling Staff

Responsible for picking, sorting, packing and tail lift loading, working with frozen goods in a low-temperature environment to limit temperature rise and product damage.

Four Management Systems

Vehicle Inspection & Maintenance

Statutory annual examination for commercial vehicles completed, plus regular checks on refrigeration unit performance, compartment sealing and temperature displays to prevent equipment-caused cold chain failure.

Temperature Control Standards

Pre-cooling before dispatch, loading in the sequence frozen through to ambient, minimising door-open time, and keeping returns separate from outbound cargo, all written into daily operating requirements.

Information Transparency

GPS position and compartment temperature are both recorded and handover documentation retained, giving customers an evidential basis for reconciliation and investigating exceptions.

Exception Reporting

Temperature anomalies, traffic delays or a store unable to receive are reported to the customer immediately with workable options proposed. Nothing is concealed or deferred.

The complete operating steps are set out in our eight-step procedure.

Corporate Social Responsibility

Lily Transport corporate social responsibility recognition logo

Logistics is a labour-intensive industry, and the working environment and safety of our staff directly affect service quality. We place importance on our employees, our community and the environment, and participate in local corporate social responsibility initiatives on an ongoing basis.

Three Areas of Focus

Employee care: reasonable shift scheduling and safe handling equipment including tail lifts, reducing manual handling injury risk. Community involvement: supporting the logistics and transport needs of local social service organisations. Environmental responsibility: reducing empty running and duplicated trips through route optimisation, lowering fuel consumption and carbon emissions.

Frequently Asked Questions About Lily Transport

The ten questions new customers ask most when getting to know our background.

The company was established in 2001 and was formally renamed Lily Transport Company Limited in 2008, giving us over 25 years of freight and cold chain logistics experience. Since our founding we have remained committed to professional, prompt and reliable freight services.

As our business scale and customer base expanded, we formally renamed the company Lily Transport Company Limited in 2008 to unify our brand identity and strengthen corporate recognition, reflecting the growing confidence and trust our customers place in our service.

We operate more than 60 owned vehicles, including refrigerated vans, 5.5, 9, 16 and 24 tonne reefer trucks, tail lift trucks and reefer container trucks, in both refrigerated and non-refrigerated configurations, covering ambient, chilled 0 to 4°C and frozen -18°C temperature bands. See Our Fleet for details.

Yes. Our refrigerated vehicles undergo regular inspection. In Hong Kong all commercial vehicles and goods vehicles must be examined annually, and only vehicles passing inspection receive a certificate of roadworthiness allowing licence renewal with the Transport Department. Beyond the statutory annual examination, we also carry out our own checks on refrigeration unit performance and compartment sealing.

Our vehicles are fitted with satellite GPS tracking systems, which increases transparency across the entire freight process. Customers can see vehicle location and delivery progress so stores can prepare to receive goods, and when traffic delays occur we can notify customers early and adjust routes.

We cover Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories in full, including urban stores, industrial areas, warehouse districts, supermarkets, hotels, restaurants, schools and areas around the airport.

An owned fleet means vehicles, drivers and maintenance all sit within our own management. When orders, drop points or time slots change at short notice we can usually absorb this internally, rather than being constrained by third-party scheduling and price volatility. Drivers can also serve the same customers consistently and build up store knowledge.

The team comprises dispatch, customer service, drivers and handling staff. Dispatch handles vehicle assignment and route planning, customer service handles quotations and communication, and drivers and handling staff manage temperature-controlled operations and handover. Each customer has a consistent point of contact, so requirements need not be re-explained each time.

We place importance on our employees, our community and the environment, and participate in relevant local corporate social responsibility initiatives on an ongoing basis. For specific recognitions and the years concerned, please enquire with our customer service team.
