One-Stop Refrigerated Transport & Cold Chain Logistics
Lily Transport Company Limited has specialised in refrigerated transport, reefer truck delivery and cold chain logistics since 2001. We understand the pressures of temperature-controlled cargo: goods that cannot tolerate temperature swings, narrow store receiving windows, sudden volume spikes in peak season, and returns or exchanges that must be handled the same day. That is why our services extend well beyond pure transport to cover the whole flow, from goods receipt, storage, picking, sorting and packing through to delivery, documentation, payment collection, after-sales support and returns, so customers deal with a single supplier.
Our fleet comprises seven vehicle types: refrigerated vans, 5.5 to 24 tonne reefer trucks, tail lift trucks and reefer container trucks. We operate three temperature bands, ambient, chilled 0°C to 4°C and frozen -18°C, supported by compartment pre-cooling, real-time temperature monitoring and 100% GPS coverage, serving Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories 24 hours a day.

Ten Logistics Services
From inbound to delivery, from documentation to returns, each stage follows a defined operating standard and can be adopted as a package or selected individually.
1. Goods Receipt
Flexible receiving windows with rapid inbound and handover processing. Whether goods arrive direct from the factory, as an inbound container, or in batches from suppliers, we allocate staff and dock space to the agreed window.
What we do: verify delivery notes against actual piece counts, inspect condition and packaging, record batch and shelf life information, move goods immediately into the cold store or ambient zone by temperature band, and report receipt results back to you.
2. Delivery Service
Scheduled delivery to designated locations with accurate handover. We support single-point dedicated vehicles, multi-drop routes and fixed-route daily replenishment.
Typical use: supermarket store replenishment, chain restaurant ingredient delivery, hotel and school kitchen supply, factory-to-warehouse transfer and point-to-point wholesale delivery. Early morning, overnight and holiday windows are available.
3. Storage Service
Cold and ambient storage supporting short, medium and long-term needs, from temporary peak-season overflow through to long-term fixed positions.
Temperature zones: -18°C frozen zone for meat, seafood and frozen foods; 0°C to 4°C chilled zone for fresh meat, produce and dairy; ambient zone for dry goods, canned items and packaging materials. See our full temperature range solutions for zone selection.
4. Order Sorting
Sorting and classification to your instructions, improving outbound efficiency and accuracy. Particularly suited to multi-outlet and multi-customer bulk despatch.
Common methods: sorting by store, by route, by customer order or by temperature band. Sorted goods are clearly labelled with their destination, making driver handover faster and store counting more accurate.
5. Order Picking
Order-based picking by a trained team, reducing errors and shortening despatch time. Frozen goods are picked in a low-temperature environment to prevent temperature rise.
Quality control: item names, specifications and quantities checked line by line against the order, batches handled first-in-first-out, and a second verification performed before despatch to reduce missed, excess and incorrect picks.
6. Packing Service
Comprehensive packing and protection to reduce transit losses, with dedicated insulation handling for frozen goods.
Methods: carton and plastic crate loading, pallet stretch wrapping, cushioning for fragile items, insulated boxes and gel packs for short-haul delivery, and outer labelling showing product name and temperature requirement so recipients can identify goods at a glance.
7. Documentation Handling
Assistance organising logistics paperwork, improving handover records and process clarity so reconciliation and investigation are always evidence-based.
Documents covered: delivery notes, goods receipt notes, signature records, return notes, pallet handover records and delivery reports. Every handover is recorded, reducing disputes between you and your stores.
8. Payment Collection
Cash on delivery support to help optimise your distribution and cash flow, particularly suited to wholesale and fresh e-commerce transactions.
How it works: the driver collects payment at handover to your instructions, records the amount and order number on the spot, then reports and remits according to the agreed process, saving you the cost of separate collection visits.
9. After-Sales Support
Post-delivery tracking and customer service support for a consistently better experience. Completing a delivery does not end the service.
What is included: delivery progress enquiries, retrieval of handover records, follow-up on exception cases, handling of store complaints, and periodic review of routes and time slots to keep improving distribution efficiency.
10. Returns Handling
A standard returns process for rapid collection and redelivery. Poorly managed returns are one of the most common sources of loss in cold chain logistics.
Key points: items and quantities recorded on the spot at collection, goods stored in the compartment at their original temperature and kept separate from outbound cargo, transported to the designated warehouse or customer, complete handover records provided, and exchange redelivery arranged immediately where required.
Integrated Solution: Warehouse & Distribution
All of the above can be combined into a complete solution: inbound receipt, low-temperature storage, order picking, store-level sorting, packing and labelling, vehicle scheduling and delivery, handover and signature, payment collection and returns collection, all handled by one team.
What this means for you: a single point of contact, clear accountability and consistent information, avoiding the finger-pointing and data gaps that arise when warehouse and fleet belong to two different companies. To discuss the right combination, contact us.
Our Fleet: Seven Reefer & Tail Lift Vehicle Types
Over 60 owned vehicles, from refrigerated vans through to 24-tonne reefer trucks and reefer container trucks, allocated flexibly by cargo volume, pallet count, loading environment and street access, so you never face a failed delivery caused by a truck that cannot reach the site.
Refrigerated Van
The most manoeuvrable option, suited to narrow urban streets, mall back lanes, single-store top-ups and urgent jobs, with the fewest parking and loading constraints.
5.5-Tonne Reefer Truck
Our daily distribution workhorse. Tail lift available, suited to multi-drop routes, palletised cargo and daily fixed-route store replenishment.
9-Tonne Reefer Truck
Mid-size volume transport for supermarket outlets, hotel supply and chain restaurant central distribution, balancing capacity with urban access.
16-Tonne Reefer Truck
High-volume palletised transport for factory outbound shipments, warehouse-to-warehouse transfers and wholesale market distribution, handling more pallets per trip.
24-Tonne Reefer Truck
Full truckload bulk transport for large warehouse trunk routes and bulk frozen product transfers, requiring a container yard or dock loading environment.
Tail Lift Truck
Fitted with a hydraulic tail lift for easy pallet and heavy goods handling, reducing manual handling time and injury risk. Available in refrigerated and ambient versions.
Reefer Container Truck
For bulk full-load cold chain movements such as cold store transfers, factory-to-distribution-centre shipments and moving large pallet quantities in one trip.
Vehicle Selection Guide

Temperature Solutions: Frozen, Chilled & Ambient
Choosing the wrong temperature band directly affects product quality, shelf life and food safety risk. Below are the applications and operational priorities for each band.
Frozen Transport: -18°C or Below
For frozen meat, seafood, frozen dim sum, ice cream and frozen produce. The operational priorities are thorough pre-cooling, minimal door-open time and avoiding repeated thawing, which prevents ice crystals, deformation and texture loss.
Typical customers: frozen meat wholesalers, seafood suppliers, food processing plants, ice cream brands.
Chilled Transport: 0°C to 4°C
For fresh meat, chilled poultry, dairy, produce, fresh-cut ingredients and bakery inputs. The difficulty here is stability: too cold causes freezing damage to appearance, too warm shortens shelf life.
Typical customers: supermarket outlets, chain restaurants, hotel ingredient supply, fresh e-commerce.
Controlled Ambient & Ambient
For dry goods, canned products, packaged food, beverages, household items and packaging materials. Can be scheduled on the same day as frozen delivery so you need not book a separate vehicle for ambient cargo.
Typical customers: trading companies, retail chains, catering groups, factories and wholesalers.
Common Causes of Cold Chain Failure & Our Controls
| Common Risk | Consequence | Our Control |
|---|---|---|
| Compartment not pre-cooled before loading | Cargo begins warming the moment it is loaded | Compartment brought to target temperature before loading begins |
| Extended loading and unloading time | Cold air loss and surface thawing | Tail lifts and pallet equipment speed up handling; doors opened in stages |
| Mixed temperature bands loaded together | One band fails to reach its required temperature | Zoned placement or separate vehicles, split trips where necessary |
| Traffic delays | Uncertain arrival times | GPS position monitoring, early notification and route adjustment |
| Store not ready to receive | Goods held on the vehicle for extended periods | Arrival time notified in advance; routes built around receiving windows |
| Returns mixed with outbound cargo | Cross-contamination and counting confusion | Returns stored separately and recorded on the spot, handed over separately |
If your goods carry specific temperature or food safety requirements, please raise them at the quotation stage and we will build the corresponding checks and records into the workflow. Details are in Our Process.
Industry Applications
Refrigerated transport for a frozen meat wholesaler looks nothing like refrigerated transport for a chain restaurant. We adjust vehicle, timing and handover method by sector.
Frozen Meat & Wholesale
Predominantly bulk palletised cargo where -18°C stability and despatch speed matter most. We run trunk routes with 16 or 24-tonne reefers, then distribute by zone with 5.5-tonne trucks to customers and stores.
Seafood & Aquatic Supply
Highly sensitive to temperature and time, usually requiring early morning delivery. We use pre-cooled compartments and rapid handling to hit morning market windows while preserving freshness and appearance.
Chain Restaurants & Catering
Characterised by many outlets, small quantities and high frequency. Best served by sorting combined with multi-drop delivery, scheduled before opening so store operations are unaffected.
Supermarkets & Retail Outlets
Requires alignment with fixed dock windows, specified pallet formats and receiving documentation. We offer mixed frozen and ambient delivery so one vehicle completes multi-store replenishment.
Ice Cream & Frozen Desserts
Tolerates no temperature fluctuation, as even slight warming affects shape and texture. We handle these with low-temperature compartments, brief door-open operations and priority delivery sequencing.
Fresh E-Commerce & Online Retail
Fragmented orders, demanding time slots and higher return rates. Best suited to an integrated package of picking, sorting, packing, delivery and returns handling that solves warehouse and distribution together.
Food Processing Plants
Despatch concentrated in fixed windows, prioritising punctual scheduling and full-load efficiency. We can assign dedicated vehicles and drivers aligned to your production schedule.
Hotels & Institutional Catering
Back-of-house access and receiving procedures are stricter, requiring drivers familiar with the process. A monthly contract best matches this kind of stable requirement.
Trading & Wholesale
Volumes swing sharply with the season, so a flexible mix of ad hoc jobs plus interim storage works best, adding capacity in peak season and reducing it off-peak to control fixed costs.

Pricing Models & Information Needed for a Quote
There is no single price for refrigerated transport, because every customer's temperature band, vehicle, drop count and timing differ. Below are our three pricing models and the information we need to quote.
Ad Hoc / Single Trip
Charged per trip, suited to variable volumes, one-off despatches or first-time trial runs. No long-term commitment and maximum flexibility.
Best for: trading companies, seasonal despatch, sudden volume spikes.
Dedicated Vehicle
An entire vehicle reserved for you, priced by vehicle type and time slot, with no shared loading, suited to bulk or high-value temperature-controlled cargo.
Best for: factory outbound, cold store transfers, bulk frozen products.
Monthly Contract
Dedicated vehicle, dedicated driver and fixed delivery windows, with predictable costs and a driver who knows your routes and store rules, making handover smoother.
Best for: chain restaurants, supermarkets, wholesalers on daily fixed routes.
Six Factors That Affect Your Quote
Temperature Band
Frozen, chilled or ambient. The lower the temperature, the greater the demand on vehicle and handling.
Vehicle Tonnage
From refrigerated van to 24-tonne reefer container truck, each with a different capacity and cost structure.
Drop Points & Districts
Multi-drop routes, cross-district delivery and remote areas all affect total journey time.
Loading & Waiting Time
Whether a dock is available, whether manual handling is needed, and how long stores keep the vehicle waiting.
Delivery Window
Overnight, early morning, holiday and urgent same-day jobs are more demanding to schedule.
Additional Services
Whether storage, picking, sorting, packing, payment collection or returns handling are required.
